    Antoniya Yordanova piano

    The Bulgarian pianist Antoniya Yordanova started her musical education at her native country. After graduation from The National School of Arts and National Academy of Music with the highest honors, she moved to Belgium to pursue a Solo Degree with the distinguished professor of piano, old instruments and improvisation - Boyan Vodenitcharov at the Koninklijk Conservatory, Brussels. Later on she graduated the University of Music and Theater in Munich, as a piano duo in the class of the renowned piano duo Yaara Tal and Andreas Groethuysen and as a piano trio with mentors - Friedemann Berger, Wen – Sinn Yang and Kristin von der Goltz.

    In 2007 Antoniya formed an artistic team ( piano duo ) with the bulgarian pianist Ivan Kyurkchiev and this collaboration became her main ensemble. The Debut CD Album of the Duo Yordanova & Kyurkchiev - “Synergy”, produced by the M Music Records Label in Munich was released in April, 2017.     Antoniya is a multiple Laureate of various international piano competitions, some to be mentioned: Absolute First Prize Winner at the “Roma” International Piano Competition of “F.Chopin” Foundation, Rome ; First Prize Winner at the “TIM” International Musical Tournament, Paris; Second Prize Winner at the Chicago Institute Piano Duo Competition, Chicago; Third Prize Winner at the “Allegro vivo” International Piano Competition, San Marino and at the “F.Schubert” Piano Duo Competition in Jesenik, Czech Republic; Grand Prix Winner of “Evangelia Tjiarri” International Piano Competition, Cyprus; Special Prizes at the Chamber Music Competition “S.Taneyev” in Kaluga/Moscow, Russia and others. For her devotion to the ideas of Yehudi Menuhin’s Foundation “Live Music Now” Antoniya is awarded with the special Honorable Prize “Von Rauscher auf Weeg.”

    Besides in the frame of her studies, Antoniya defined her artistic style through personal impressions with such renowned musicians as Yo-Yo Ma, Ivry Gitlis, Adrian Brendel, Peter Brechbühler, Catherine Vickers, Georg Friedrich Schenck, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Ronon O’Hora, Emanuel Krasovsky and others.

    She has extensive performing and working experience as a soloist, chamber music player, accompanist and singers coach. Some of her latest concert and festival appearances are at the “Reger Musik Tage’, Bayreuth, Germany; “Richard Strauss” Festival in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany; Festival de Sintra, Portugal; “Tel-Hai” Piano Festival in Sde Boker/Tel-Aviv, Israel; “Chamber Music Days” in Belfort, France; “Peter the Great” Festival in Groningen, Holland; “Varna Summer” in Varna, Bulgaria, “Motif” Concert Series, Sofia, Bulgaria, Tour in China and others.

    As an accompanist she has worked in collaborations with singers of “La Monnaie ” Theater in Brussels, Academics of the Bavarian Radio Orchestra in Munich, accompanying at ARD International Competition, internal Competitions and events at the Mozarteum University, as a pianist of the “Bayerische Philharmonie” in Munich, at the Master Classes “Sommermusik im Oberen Nagoldtal”, Vocal Master Classes in Ratilly Castle in France and many others.
